I believe artists have a responsibility to promote an ongoing public dialogue about the things we really care about. Let's keep our own questioning alive and provoke others to have questions. The subversive effect of art is critical: subvert the takenfor-granted, defamiliarize the hype, help people to "crack the codes" and emancipate themselves.
